Last year, I invested in a good quality pair of riding boots. I was looking for a pair of cognac color boots that would go with everything. Previously, I had bought riding boots at Target and had to buy a new pair every season. I honestly got tired of the cheap pairs because I felt like I had to be so careful when wearing them because they could fall a part at any moment. When I first ordered these boots, I ordered an 8, sam edelman riding boots, because that is what I wear in tennis shoes. Not in a bad way, I am just coming from an old pair of boots that would make my socks wet the second I stepped in any snow. The footbed was so narrow it squeezed my toes together to where I couldn't move them at all and they fell numb.

I have larger calves and sometimes struggle to find boots that fit over them. My foot is a little on the narrow side, so the width was perfect. Not so this time! See more reviews. Sorry, there was a problem. However, after walking around the house for a few minutes, I noticed that the calves seemed looser—becoming very comfortable in fact. I liked the review that said they were neither comfortable nor uncomfortable. I usually wear size 8. These boots were my go to with dresses and leggings I have another pair of the exact same boots and wanted a second pair because I love them. Sorry for the long review but it did take me awhile to find these and think maybe others have had the same issue with the narrow footbed so hoping this review will help.

They were the perfect fit and fit my thick calves. The leather is soft and the inside lining is quality. Not so this time!
