Build up of the issue : about 3 weeks ago while driving on highway, the AT light came on, for the first time. We made it back home 20km without issues. Following day, light on Harsh "bang" while putting reverse and only driving in 3rd. We parked the car at my work close by. I have been investigation the issue thanks to some posts in here.
