I care a lot about the 5 Lexington Avenue Line. It is a fascinating subway route. The rest of the 5 train acts as just a deviation of the 2 train that runs via Lexington Avenue with the 4 train instead of via 7 Avenue, and not receiving 24 hour 5 train service. The 2 and 5 trains are operated in combination, they share crews and R rolling stock. The situation with basically shared northern and southern terminals I guess this as changed some with the new Battersea Power Station Extension reminds me of the Northern Line in London. All trains run express in the Bronx, nonstop from 3 Avenue Street to East Street saving 3 minutes of travel time because the line is so curvy in the peak direction rush hours.
