Accidentally shot in the head by dawn lerner
She was a member of the Atlanta Police Department and was charged with evacuating citizens as the apocalypse unfolded. Years later, Dawn commands the remaining police as they secure Grady Memorial Hospital. She is portrayed by Christine Woods.
Beth Greene is far from a fan favourite character, but there's no denying she was on the road to becoming one of the show's most interesting and complex characters. She'd formed a bond with Daryl, confronted her fears about the world, and was then held hostage at Grady Memorial Hospital, where she had to fend for herself. The Grady episodes are lacklustre at best, but Beth's growth was actually quite good, and great to see considering how long she'd been on the show. But then, just as Rick, Daryl et al arrived to save her, she stabbed her captor Dawn Lerner, who then accidentally shot her through the head. It was needlessly cruel and made literally no sense, and it rendered her recent development absolutely pointless. It's hard to say Beth's death was anything more than a ploy to beat Daryl and Maggie down to new depths rather than effectively progress the narrative, and given how far she'd come and how much more she had left to show, it's infuriating that she wasn't allowed to stick around a little bit longer.

She was in a relationship with Jimmy , another survivor of the apocalypse. After his death, she later began a relationship with Zach , who also died. Later on, Beth formed a brief bond with Daryl Dixon until she was abducted by police officers enlisted in service under Dawn Lerner and forced to stay at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Beth is a shy, soft-spoken, and caring sixteen-year old girl who lived a normal life with her family. She lived on her father's farm and attended the local high school. She went to church regularly and strongly believes in her faith. As a result of her father's heavy drinking, she never drank alcohol. Her first appearance was in Season 2 and as the season developed, so did she. As the apocalypse started, Beth had been sheltered from the chaos surrounding her. Daryl and Beth check the kitchen and find that the shelves are stocked with foods which have no dust, and Daryl determines that someone else is using the funeral home for themselves.
