For those curious about the local area, the hotel puts on Denali State Park ranger interpretive programs. There are plenty of dining options in the lodge. Coffee Bruin Espresso offers hot drinks and grab-and-go snacks. The 20, Alaskan Grill serves casual fare in a relaxed setting, decked out in old mountaineering photos and gear. For an elegant meal, the chicly decorated North Fork Restaurant offers a striking view, and a menu featuring local ingredients. There is plentiful free parking onsite. Guest rooms come with one king or two queen beds, a full private bath, satellite TV, WiFi, telephone, ceiling fan, and hair dryer.

There is no additional charge for children under the age of 12 sharing a room with an adult. This route gives travelers time for an activity in the morning before making the drive south. Both the morning and afternoon Denali Park to Anchorage motorcoaches make brief stops in Talkeetna.
