Venue type: Pub www. Apple Maps Google Maps. With the interior mainly concerned with bistro and TAB operations, the key to the Anglers Tavern is the large outdoor area, which can go ballistic on hot summer days with its fantastic views of the river. There's actually a small public bar downstairs to the left, offering all the smoke filled comforts and clinking of pot glasses that many cherish. Head through the front door, however, and you enter a territory of function and bistro areas - perfect for the family or romantic night out. Prime location looks fabulous, the Anglers Tavern stands imperiously alongside the mighty Maribyrnong river and covers a vast area. Downstairs, all new and modern with glistening polished timber aplenty, has two main areas- bistro and TAB no pokies with a wonderful bar servicing both areas. Grab a seat alongside the window when dining and enjoy the serenity of the river. The pub triumphs at the rear with its massive and new beer garden and maximises the views. Plenty of space, smart and comfortable, the time spent there will evaporate. On weekends the pub really goes into overdrive attracting people from near and far. Pricing is about right. Beer runs a familiar line of Carlton products but in an area so large, the draught from the tap 5. The resurgent late Summer that Melbourne is enjoying gives that extra reason to go to a pub and enjoy the rays before the chill kicks in. And while the Maribyrnong may lack the cachet that views of the Bay may offer, it is extremely pleasant to go and enjoy that moment by the water with friends whilst relaxing and sharing good times over a drink and meal. The set up inside but moreover out that the Anglers has invested in, is paying dividends. The modern look is great and even though it is years since the last visit, everything seems to work well to give you a bang for your leisure dollar. The beer garden out the back, throughout the bistro is the place to be for the young'uns, but there is however a lack of seating to cope with the huge crowds, so unless you get there early or are very lucky, anglers tavern reviews, you may spend the whole night standing. I always come here with my family and friends. We love their food. I noticed they have a new menu, which is a great selection.

There must be a spotify track that would be more appropriate. A special Oyster Bar serves beer with oysters and features records for most dozens eaten - a list which oddly enough Merv Hughes kept popping up on. Good location. Try to sit in the outside in the undercover area if the weathers nice. If your purely interested in value for money, The Anglers is for you. Don't get the steak. Two good -sized pieces of fish with chips and a salad. Pub Of The Week. Food was ok but the dining area was too cold. Food prices seemed a bit high until the plates arrived. Staff very professional and welcoming.

Food isnt good. The turkey roast was pretty bland and boring. Great afternoon catchup with friends. Food is delicious. Nice setting Decent list of beers in tap, if you're not a hipster. Anglers is a great joint for a cheeky feed of pub grub. Live music too. Have been to Anglers before and food is plentiful good value and service is excellent. Family friendly whilst still offering plenty for the younger crowd. Really good food, spacious and good selection of services - eating, sports bar etc. Went there for lunch with a meetup walking group. The updated bar fitout is great however bistro also needs a bit if a revamp. Many thanks to Natasha and her staff who ensured our Christmas Function was a great success. Not too expensive.
