Anthropologie plate
Anthropologie is a favorite shop for unique clothing, candles and holiday decor.
I always love a good Anthropologie find. I also knew I could make my own ceramic painted plate for a small fraction of the cost…. Step 1: I wanted to freehand my lines, but wanted a little bit of a guide to work with. I knew I wanted three lines going around the tray, so I started by putting three dots in each corner, plus three dots on the long side of the tray. This way, I could still get that freehand effect, but with a little help…. Step 2: Add a bit of paint to your brush yes, I did switch out brushes…the paintbrush held more paint than the foam brush did , and carefully draw your lines. Let dry, and touch up as needed.

This is a super cute idea, especially as charger plates or for the kids! I assume you baked them? What temp and how long? I do love Anthropologie things and they are pricey! I love this idea. I'm actually assuming you didn't bake these… do tell. I just may have to try this out and share on my blog. I hope you don't mind if I spread your name and blog and link far and wide! I have lots of friends who would love your blog! I did not bake mine, but you surely can!

I cannot help, it, I like everything that Anthropologie does. I am thinking of mixing and matching combinations of these dishware lines for the Maine house. Kind of like faking that I scoured these things over the years at various cool places from Brimfield to Marche aux Puces. Looking around the web I don't see anything else with a similar vibe. Should i just capitulate to the powers of Big Design? I will say that I have a lot of their china I use here in CT and have been very happy with it. I think Anthro has great design, and while I completely understand your reservations, they change out their stuff frequently enough that only the trained Anthro eye is going to see this the way you do.
