I want to start this off by saying I did not just log on here to rant about this guy, I want to see them really be useful so I'm here to give my feedback. Ive also noticed he can turn on a dime in first person which many other dinos cannot. So its HP can kind of work like a meat shield. Pachy used to be the best tank in game probably still is. You just need a racer build with window, stick the head out and tank. With it's natural head armor, max armor saddles, mate boost, imprint boost and capability of eating cakes, makes it immortal to turrets.

Pachycephalosaurus is a bit of a conundrum. It is a very passive even friendly herbivore, common to much of the island. At the same time, it is one of the most dangerous herbivores that I have yet encountered on the island. Its charging headbutt is a display of sheer physical power, and can kill much more quickly than you might think. While Pachycephalosaurus is generally amiable, it has a short temper. Its fight-or-flight response always seems to choose "fight"! Additionally, it is an incredibly fast sprinter, so escaping from an enraged Pachy is very difficult.

If your Pachy is low level, there's a chance that it might die from the Tranq Arrow damage before it goes unconscious. Once tamed, you can use the Pachy Saddle to ride it.
