For sure the default weapons that have followed Kratos through his adventures are badass but there's something about the Arms of Sparta that make it stand out above any other weapons before. The shield and spear provides great melee and ranged attacked plus the benefit of a counter attacking mechanism. I think the arms of sparta were an amazing change of pace in the weapons department. I think everyone can secretly agree that they never cared about any other subweapon besides his default blades of chaos in EVERY game so far. I think they caught onto this in GOW3, which is why all the other weapons were similar all being chain-based blades of some kind , but even still, default blades were the best all around. But then I got the arms of sparta It even looked right. Like he was in the movie or something, like a true spartan.
