This strange alien lifeform is comprised of many-colored star debris which landed in the Lands Between long ago, and is found in the Grand Cloister. Astel destroyed one of the Eternal Cities and wiped out astel sky. This is an astel boss, astel, as players don't need to defeat it in order to advance in Elden Ring. However, it must be defeated to achieve a certain ending, astel.

Astel, Naturalborn of the Void is a main boss located in an optional underground region in Elden Ring. You can face him at the end of the Lake of Rot, located in Nokstella Eternal City , at the end of the Ainsel River - which can be accessed by progressing through Ranni the Witch's questline , or via a coffin in the Deeproot Depths. To reach Astel, you'll need to find a set of coffins at the edge of a waterfall of rot in the Grand Cloister at the end of the Lake of Rot. A hyper aggressive Malformed Star, Astel will likely take a number of attempts due to the sheer ferocity of its attacks, and the variety of moves it can perform. Entering the arena through the mist wall, Astel will likely open the fight with a giant beam that it summons between its mandibles. This attack, like many others that Astel uses, requires slightly delayed reactions to avoid.

Astel is a reoccurring boss in Elden Ring. A malformed star born in a flightless void far away [1] , composed of many-colored star debris. It has a vaguely insectoid body, comprised of multi-coloured orbs that form a tail akin to a scorpion's, with translucent wings and six limbs that end in human-like hands, with the front two possessing six digits each. It has a humanoid skull with large mandibles, and a large blue eye can be seen through a crack in the front of the skull. Elden Ring has many fascinating bosses in its densely packed world of the Lands Between, but none are quite as beautifully horrific as Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. This optional boss is located in the depths of the Grand Cloister and packs a punch. While not the most challenging boss in Elden Ring's catalog, it sure sits near the upper half of that list. Even as an optional boss, we suspect Astel will go down in history as one of FromSoftware's best boss encounters due to the atmosphere and aesthetic alone. It also helps that the fight's mechanics and challenge are tight and rewarding, which is really all you can ask for in these titles. While this is an optional boss in the grand scheme of things, it is a mandatory battle if you wish to continue Ranni's story. To get to Astel, you will need to reach Grand Cloister, nestled deep within the Lake of Rot and a high-level area. For this particular fight, we suggest being at least Level

While FromSoftware has become famous for its innovative and epic boss fights throughout the Soulslike genre, Elden Ring was an exceptional showing in terms of its roster of larger-than-life foes. Incredible battles such as the encounter with Astel, Naturalborn of the Void occur with little explanation and closure, but there is rich lore awaiting those who take a closer look in The Lands Between. Astel, Naturalborn of the Void is a challenging and intimidating Remembrance boss found inside a cave accessed through a coffin in the creepy Grand Cloister, which is reached through Elden Ring 's cursed Lake of Rot , found beneath the Eternal City of Nokstella after being guided through the other Eternal City of Nokron by the witch Ranni. Astel, Naturalborn of the Void resembles a giant winged scorpion-esque creature covered in cosmic mineral material, but with a disturbing, human-like head and sets of hands. It towers over the player with its massive pincers and confusing tail while hailing down gravity magic attacks. It seems to have the ability to turn the ceiling of the boss arena into some sort of manifestation of the cosmos as it rains down powerful projectiles, but this cryptic monster is never addressed directly at all despite its status as a major boss. While that presents a rather straightforward narrative at face value, the fact that this sorcery is gained from a mysterious second Astel found in the game begins to challenge a conventional interpretation of the story.

Astel is quite unique from other major bosses in the Lands Between as she has an entire portion of the world map sectioned off just for her boss battle. Her cosmic lair is gorgeously designed and serves as the sole passageway to the Deep Ainsel Well , which holds the lift to the Moonlight Altar in South Liurnia.

Still don't know why two different otherworldly godlike aliens would look exactly the same, but I guess I shouldn't expect that much from this game. Be better than me. Xyri VIP. Don't get greedy attacking and you're fine. Spirit ashes glitched a few times and wouldn't let me spawn it but once I could it was a breeze. What level are y'all when you beat this guy? Believe it or not I used the Stone of Guranq most effectively on this one. Everything about fighting him in melee is cheap and poorly done. Astel uses its tail like a scorpion, swiping from over its head, performing two slam attacks. It is also possible to jump over the crest of the shockwaves.
