The only drawback I have found with the low abrasiveness of the Ceramic pads is ate ceramic test they take longer to wear down rust on the disc surface. The idea is also to heat cycle the discs moderately, instead of giving them a shock, ate ceramic test. I am very happy with that, since it was the driving force behind this modification.
