Magic is always a staple of fantasy stories, and any tale set in such a setting will have some form of magical system. Evil wizards appear frequently in anime, usually as major antagonists or villains. These vile magicians often impede the hero and their allies by using their wizardry and spellcraft to create obstacles and enemies wherever they go. Though there are countless characters who fit the bill, these are some of the most powerful evil wizards from anime stories. Initially a force for good, Ares positioned himself to be a Sage to guide the Hero Ruti to dispense justice. However, when he realizes that his role has already been taken by the more capable Gideon, Ares bullies the former out of the party, insisting that he is dead weight and a burden to the Hero.

Babidi is merciless, sadistic and darkly mirthful. He feels no remorse for eliminating anyone, even his most loyal followers, considering them fodder for his main plan. He kills those who outlive their usefulness simply to satisfy his sadism, showing that he only cares for his own life and no other. Indeed, the closest he ever showed remorse for killing his followers was when he realized he was premature in thinking he got enough energy to unleash Buu from his egg. He finds great humour in using his powers to cause misery, bursting into wicked laughter at the pain of the innocent or otherwise. When facing someone weaker than himself, or when he is assisted by one of his much stronger followers, he will constantly mock his opponents and taunt them. He revelled in the thought of how Piccolo , Goten and Trunks would feel as innocent cities were destroyed due to their refusal to show themselves. Whenever under imminent threat, he is shown fleeing or panicking, revealing the true cowardice and defenselessness beneath his pretentious, self-entitled exterior.

Its also a really wonky card, trying to go from Babidi with a bunch of weirdo Magic and majin links to a Saiyan with a bunch of Saiyan links. As for Buu he had a lot of iconic moments in that part of the saga so TBH I don't really feel they used animations for Babidi that they'd have ever used for a standalone Buu either.
