A field boss is a high level boss designed to be fought by a large number of players. They have a fixed spawn location but function with a timer schedule. He drops Red Nose's Armor, bdo field boss. It drops Dim Tree Spirit's Armor.

Please Note: This guide was supposed to have a video guide included but due to the recent amount of requests I decided to release the Guide without the video. While the guide contains general information it will give detailed information on how to build a dedicated Bosshunter that will ensure you to get loot. I plan on releasing detailed Guides for each class but this may take some time Before you keep reading make sure to read my Theory on how the Loot System works as many points I will talk about are based on the general idea of this Theory. Please note that effective Boss Farming is not a thing you will be able to do instantly, even with this guide you will not only have to learn your own Combos on Bosses but you have to learn to predict all of their moves to be really effective.

World bosses spawn at set times during the week and drop rare items. Whilst world bosses are spawned, open-world PVP is disabled. Boss HP is shared across all channels, so when a world boss dies on one channel, they are dead on all channels. Dying to World bosses can break your crystals and may cause you to lose EXP. This is why it is recommended to use another character boss alt. Boss alts can be as low as level 51 to gain rare loot, but will need to be equipped with gear.

You can encounter a variety of different bosses in the world of Black Desert. There are for example bosses you can summon with scrolls, and bosses that appear by themselves and can only be defeated when a large number of Adventurers work together. Field bosses belong to this second category. Field bosses will occasionally appear in specific locations and threaten their vicinity.
