Going from two formally perfect films imo like Hereditary and Midsommar to something far more… messy - oftentimes, seemingly for the sake of being messy - makes this one more miss than hit for me, but since it mostly sticks the landing, beau is afraid letterboxd, I walked out semi-satisfied, though beau is afraid letterboxd oddly ambivalent about the entire affair too.
