For this list, determining the most powerful has been decided based on stat totals, which include HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed. Generation 3's Feebas functions like a complicated Hoenn version of Magikarp. Relatively bulky, Milotic has a stat total of and can withstand decent damage. It also has two great ability options with Marvel Scale, which increases Defense when Milotic receives a status condition, and Competitive, which raises Special Attack when a stat is lowered. The trio of Legendary giants introduced in Gen 3 are Regirock, Regice, and Registeel , and each has a stat total of , although their stats are divided slightly differently.

Log In Sign Up. Other than Torchic, I already have an Aron and a Ralts. I'm new to Emerald and have 0 clue about good pokemons in here. Walrein which starts off as a Spheal is also great, but it is found around the 7th Gym, so that might be too late for you, depending on how early you like having your team set up. Manectric Electrike is a solid Electric Type that evolves via level-up and has good enough Stats to carry you through the vast amounts of water Routes and trainers that you'll have to face. Don't get too focused on "the one best way" to play through these games: while they still require some thought, at this stage, they're still balanced to overall be on the forgiving side, so, ideally, you wanna have fun experimenting with what you seem to like best and adjust accordingly depending on your experience. Good luck and have fun! Honestly, you just need to look at the types you will be coming up against and picking mons to handle them. For instance, the evil team in this game, Team Magma, mainly uses Fire, Ground, and Dark type Pokemon so using a water type Pokemon is a must. Carvanha is probably the best to use here since it is fast, has decent Special Attack at Sharpedo though it's Attack is much much better , and has coverage through Crunch, Surf, and Ice Beam which can carry you essentially the rest of the way through the game once you obtain it on route or Ice Beam is a TM from the Game Corner so you will need to spend a lot of money buying coins or spending a lot of time gambling coins. Pelipper is a good mon in the early game though which can get you through Roxanne and Barwly with Water Gun and Wing Attack respectively, though it probably will not remain a main member once you get Sharpedo.
The one drawback is its ability Truant, which lets it move only every other turn.
It also learns every HM, heals itself automatically, and has some neat ability to top it off. Those will be put in High tier. Does it need a lot of TMs to have a good moveset? Can it learn a lot of HMs to help you navigate in the overworld? Does he learn powerful attacks of his own type?

Giving items like Super Potions is fine because you can buy them and you have almost infinite money in the game. Typing and matchups go hand in hand. Don't confuse an efficient run with a speed run. Speed runs are often segmented and recorded while manipulating luck through resets; these aim for the absolute fastest on-screen time, but the real time spent on them is much, much more.

The lack of physical stab sucks but special attack EVs are easy to come by training against spindas and slugmas with macho brace. Atk, Sp. JohnathanHyde Expert - 11 months ago - report. Best of luck whatever you decide! IS it true that Muchlax exist in Pokemon Emerald? After this fight, you can probably drop Imprison and pick up Thunderbolt. Looking at this I would think the ranks are basing mons on how popular they are. Duskull Availability: Late Stats: Average Movepool: Decent Additional Comments: It has good defenses and a good typing, but it's slow, has poor offenses, and a horrible level-up movepool. Zubat Availability: Early Stats: Average Movepool: Shallow Additional Comments: It's a pain to train early on thanks to its weak offensive options and is generally outclassed by Swellow. It comes a bit late, but training it is well worth it. They each have an impressive stat total of and are able to control weather effects to work to their advantage. They both feature stat totals of , although they are slightly different in their breakdown of stats.

We hope you find it useful. Gyarados is strongly recommended here as well due to it's ability to learn several key HMs such as Waterfall, Dive, Strength, and Rock Smash all of which are not good HMs to run in this game in battle due to just not being good or something else being better. Atk, Sp. Nuzlocke University. It also benefits from being a part of the frequently overpowered Dragon-type, giving it access to some terrifying moves. Needs no TMs. Comment Reblog Subscribe Subscribed. Does it need a lot of TMs to have a good moveset? It's easy to get as well.
