So one day the brothers were tough cryomancery as well and Bi-Han was codenamed as Sub-Zero and his brother was codenamed as Tundra.

In the new timeline , Bi-Han is the rightful successor to be Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, of which he becomes. He is the older brother of Kuai Liang, this timeline's Scorpion, and the adoptive brother of Smoke.

Bi-Han is disgusted by Shang Tsung's vile experiments, to a point that an intro with Liu Kang suggests that he might never have betrayed Earthrealm if he knew about them.
