Birdland Animal Park is a delightful and intimate hands-on experience. Forest paths wind through eight acres of sweeping waterfront trees and landscaped gardens brimming with native Australian animals, birds and reptiles over species. Make way for the chugging train just out of the tunnel! Most creatures trot up for hand feeding and patting. Cute orphan baby wombats under Birdland's rear and release program love to be cuddled. Have your picture taken beside a koala at feeding time. Perhaps try a snake around your neck while the majestic and amorous goanna looks on! Black swans, pelicans and egrets are just some of the regular visitors to the duck walk along the estuary bend. Rest and relax with a picnic or barbecue while children lap up at the nearby play gym. Birdland wildlife is professionally cared for and beautifully presented. Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids.
Inspire someone you know to get out and explore this beautiful country of ours. No comments yet.

As my family lives in the area, we decided to purchase a yearly pass, as they are much better value for money! The first time we visited here in February , we arrived early one morning to find the Alpacas running around their enclosure and acting strangely. Afterward, a staff member told us that a baby Alpaca had just been born minutes earlier.

Among the exciting schedule of daily entertainments are penguin, pelican and flamingo feedings. The Out of Africa area provides the opportunity to meet a variety of exotic species such as black-cheeked love birds, a colony of village weaver birds, touracos, superb starlings, guinea fowl, exotic ducks and the bizarre-looking ground hornbills. Spot species including T-Rex and brachiosaurus through the trees and look up high into the canopies for a glimpse of the pterodactyls flying above. Besides the new enclosure and arrivals, there will be the usual daily talks and feeds.
