Earlier this year, Bite Beauty launched their very first eye makeup product — Upswing Full-Volume Mascara and after using it for a couple of months, I bite mascara now ready to share my verdict. Then please keep on scrolling, bite mascara.

The dark, soul piercing stare broken only by the soft beating of luscious eye lashes — that natural wing from the perfect curl fanning out towards the tips of perfectly manicured eyebrows. Lashes captivate us. Mascara, not so much. When Bite Beauty sent me one of their first types of Upswing full-volume mascara, I was skeptical to say the least. No doubt they are masters of lip scrubs , liners, glosses and lipsticks alike.

Hey guys! Today I have a mascara review for you! Throwing out old mascaras gives me the perfect excuse to pick up a new one! This is a clean and vegan mascara. I prefer a mascara that has that nice balance of length and volume so it sounded right up my alley. I generally find that I need to test mascara for a longer period of time because I find the formula changes once the tube has been opened for a bit. That was the case with this Bite Beauty mascara. I like this mascara! It gives great volume without looking clumpy. It gives length and most importantly stays curled throughout the day. I hate when my lashes fall through the day. I tried wearing this mascara with bold eyeliner and I was able to still see my lashes so that means that this is a great lengthening mascara for me!

The mascara wand has an hourglass shape and it is rather large, which makes it tricky to capture shorter lashes. Additionally, the tip of the wand is not tapered so excessive mascara collects around it, requiring me to wipe it off after every dip back into the tube. Personally, I am not a fan of the applicator as it's simply too clumsy and oversized for my small lashes. Certified "clean" at Sephora, the Upswing Full Volume Mascara is formulated with tree berry wax, which promises "buildable yet lightweight volume". The mascara has a fairly lightweight formulation that's lengthening and volumizing. However, I definitely noticed some clumping so I needed a clean spoolie to separate my lashes after application.

I would say it is a lot more volumizing, than it is lengthening, so you decide if it is ultimately up your makeup alley or not.
