The 'Blitz' brand is a little offshoot of Aria, only really marketed in Japan and offering simple Gibson style stuff. This has pretty obviously taken it's inspiration from a Les Paul Special; hence the two Pstyle pickups and tune-o-matic and stoptail bridge combo. It's nicely put together: tidy frets, nice finish work, reasonable quality hardware etc. The pickups crank out a thick, juicy warm growl with a nice open top end; if you're after that soapbar sound, this certainly does the trick. The yellow finish lacks not for visual volume, but hey, it's rock and roll right? If you're after a guitar for punk or grungy stuff, this is certainly a punchy little pal. Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock is pretty clean, just some extra holes from when machine heads were replaced. Neck is pretty clean with no major marks. The back has a couple of very light scuffs but no major marks. The sides have no major marks, just some dimples on the shoulder and near the jack. The front has no major marks, just a couple of dimples behind the bridge and some light play scratches on the guard and top horn. All electrics tested and working properly. No headstock breaks.

The front is pretty clean, just a dimple near the knobs and some play wear on the guard and top horn. Jan 27, 15, North Tonawanda, NY. Gloss poly finish.

Continuing the brand's resurgence of late, the Jet 1 is another superb six-string at a price tag that's hard to believe. It's no secret how impressed I've been with the guitars Aria has been producing of late. For one, It's great to see a brand with such a legacy-making a serious return to form. It's also really impressive to see how much guitar can be had these days for relatively little outlay. So far, the Aria range has offered seriously spec'd-out takes on familiar designs, from "California-custom" style superstrats to traditional dual-humbucker single cuts. But their new Jet line of guitars is something different. It's a band new design that takes cues from a bunch of classic guitars to create something unique, but still familiar. The first thing you'll notice about the Jet-1 is the body shape - it's an offset single-cut shape with a sharp Florentine cutaway: somewhere between a Jazz Bass, a Manson and a PRS Vela. It's also surprisingly small and comfortable, with comfort contours front and back and absolutely impeccable balance on either leg.
