The head of an Oolacile resident whose humanity went wild after being devoured by the Dark of manus, Father of the Abyss. The bloated head is fissured, the cracks lined with innumerable tiny red eyeballs and accented by protuding brain parts. It is lightly enchanted, suggesting that it may have belonged to a sorcerer. The Physical Defense attribute adds to player defense to dictate how resilient the player is to a certain physical damage type Damage Formula. The Elemental Defense attribute adds to player Defense to dictate how resilient the player is to a certain elemental damage type. Oolacile Sorcerer is an Enemy in Dark Souls. Similar in appearance to the Oolacile Resident , but wearing tattered black robes and wielding an Oolacile Catalyst. These malicious mages are far different from common residents; They possess an array of deadly dark magic spells. All their spells bear a resemblance to spells obtainable by the PC. It can cast Dark Orb , which fires an extremely powerful ball of dark magic that easily breaks your guard.

Make sure you are human before progressing. From the Bonfire, head down the stairs and to the right to find a new enemy. Bloatheads are the common enemies around this area. They aren't incredibly difficult to fight and only have a few melee attacks to deal. However, their attacks are very high damaging and should be blocked. There are some with red eyes who are more aggressive and deal more damage but overall, shouldn't be too much of a challenge. After defeating it, go down the next stairs and onto the roof to the left for a Large Soul of a Proud Knight. A couple of Bloatheads are in the next area so deal with them efficiently.
