I like the similarity - Soo Hyuk is trying to build trust with Bo-ra and that's why he regretted the kiss and why he's not going to blurt it all out until he feels she's ready to deal with his love. I always knew he's a definition of a textbook romantic, and yes he was. He said everything he needed to say, treated her with respect and kindness, and then went back to where he belonged.
