Britain's best amateur bakers compete in the iconic white tent - all united in british bake off week aim to prove their baking skills and impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. After 10 exciting weeks, The Great British Bake O ff final is here, with just three bakers left in the competition, and only one can be crowned the Ultimate Star Baker. Last week saw Josh receive his second Star Baker title of the season after impressing the judges during Patisserie week. Unfortunately for one baker, it was time to leave the Great British Bake Off line-up , with Tasha becoming the ninth contestant to be eliminated from the competition. This week, the bakers will take on a series of challenges, and we'll see which lucky baker will be crowned the champion of the series! What is week nine's Showstopper Challenge? Yusoff is the first female winner since Sophie Faldo from Season 8. This was the final series presented by Matt Lucas, who announced his departure from the programme on 6 December For the first signature challenge, the bakers were required to bake 12 identical mini sandwich cakes in 2 hours. For the technical challenge, set by Paul, the bakers were tasked with making a six-layered red velvet cake in 2 hours, each layer sandwiched with cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with red crumbs. A 3D cake replica of a home that the bakers once lived in was set as the showstopper; the bakers were given 4 hours, the judges expecting the bake to be full of detail. The signature bake was 18 Decorative macarons with a twist — they must be made to appear like something else. Two hours was given for the challenge. For the technical challenge, set by Prue, the bakers were given 1 hour and 45 minutes to bake 12 Garibaldi biscuits with feathered chocolate on top. A 3D biscuit mask to be completed in 4 hours was the showstopper challenge. The bakers were set the task of making two sharing-size pizzas in 2 hours for the signature challenge.

InNetflix acquired the rights to stream the eighth British series, which was the first from Channel 4, and debuted it as a "Netflix Original Production" labeled as Birkenstock at nordstrom 5; the service already had PBS's British bake off week 1—4 available for streaming, british bake off week, labeled as Collections 1—4. In the first series, the location of the cast and crew moved from town to town each week, but from the second series, the competition is held in one location in a specially constructed marquee.

The final follows the same format as the rest of the series, and the judges will once again set the amateur bakers three challenges. As it is the final episode, there is no one theme, and instead the bakers will have to tackle pastry, cake AND patisserie. The Signature challenge sees them taking on a choux pastry before they tackle a blast from the past in a sticky Technical challenge. The final Showstopper has the bakers making the ultimate celebration cake before the winner of The Great British Bake Off is crowned. The show kicked off with 12 bakers, with one leaving each week. For Bake Off the judges remained the same, with Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith making the decisions as to who gets Star Baker and who leaves the tent each week. There was a shake up of presenters after Matt Lucas quit the series.

Over the course of 10 episodes, the series follows the trials and tribulations of the competitors, young and old, from every background and every corner of Britain, as they attempt to prove their baking prowess. Each week the bakers tackle a different baking skill, which become progressively more difficult as the competition unfolds. This challenge separates the wheat from the chaff. Take one basic recipe, with the same ingredients and instructions, and ask our bakers to produce the finished product… sound easy? Well, any variation on the finished product will be a result of their own technical knowledge and experience — or lack of. The oven gloves are off in this final challenge where the bakers are able to showcase their depth of skill and talent. The complexities of this task call for a professional standard in taste and appearance. Are they up to it? The judges will be looking for the most impressive and elaborate creations — that better taste first-class too.
