HumbookFest is a literary festival for young adult readers that is unparalleled in Central Europe.
The event featured workshops and events for all the family in addition to visits from well-known authors. In total, there were separate events across 13 venues and featured the support of over 20 local businesses. A spokesperson for Bude-Stratton Town Council said: "What a huge success this was and we want to say a massive thank you to all our visitors, our supporters whom there are so many , our volunteers, our sponsors, our collaborators, and the hard-working team behind the program and getting things ready behind the scenes, who without you, this couldn't have happened. So we thought a beach would make a nice change of scene, and since Laura Frances Martin , who plays Gwenevere, comes from north Cornwall we decided to find somewhere near her to film. Truly we have reached the last dying gasps of the budget. Sarah took all the photos in this post, too. Except this one obvs. All that remains to do is cut these flashbacks in and tinker a bit with some of the sound levels. With Christmas fast approaching, lots of seasonal events are coming up in Bude. Her are some ideas for Christmas Events in Bude over the festive period:. There will be a variety of stalls selling local produce, crafts, and gifts. Bude Metric Brass will be performing free concerts in local pubs, markets, and churches throughout December. October half term is a great time to visit Bude!

The five day festival sees well known authors descend onto Bude as well as events for the community. The five-day festival, which first took place last year, is set to feature a number of events across the next few days and builds on the success of last year's inaugural event. Events taking place for the family take centre place, with tomorrow May 19 set to see events in the community ranging from storytelling for toddlers at The Bandstand at the Castle on the Wharf, a story trail at Bude Library, and a number of talks in addition to live music.
