We're nearly done with Skeleton Land. If you rested at a bonfire at any point during your explorations of the Smouldering Lake, the bridge ladder will have reset, so use fast travel to return to the Catacombs of Carthus bonfire. Head down the boulder corridor and deal with the three rats on patrol and the shotel skeletal knight. Take the path and kill the skeletal knight. We need to speak to Anri of Astora now, and he's only accessible via a stalagmite-disguised side path leading off from the room with all the skeletons you normally escape by crossing the bridge. From the Abyss Watchers' Bonfire, approach the large goblet at the back to reveal a passage into the Catacombs. At the split, take a left and engage the Skeleton here. This one has glowing white eyes which means it will reanimate after you kill it so you will need to kill it twice before it stays dead and the same goes for any glowing eye variants throughout this area. You can safely grab the Carthus Rouge x2 at the back when it is dead. Cross the bridge to engage the new enemy. Tougher Skeletons who can be tricky in groups. They come with a few weapon variations but none are particularly harder then others. They like to roll at you while hidden so it can be difficult to see what they are doing but a regular combo should be sufficient. The Curved Sword they drop is a very good weapon so consider using it if you fancy the moveset.

Farron keep is million times better than this area. Alternatively, after heading down the staircase from the Abyss Watchers Bonfire, one may drop down the ledges found along the right wall. If you exit into the next room, straight ahead you will find a corpse with Old Sage's Blindfold and Witch's Ring. Now go back to the hall with the rolling ball and go down the stairs, once in this room youll want to go left and dispatch the enemies in this area or run past them, youll make way through a cave and come up behind a larger skeleton enemy and you should see a rope bridge, youll want to go right and once in the larger cave area you should find a lever near the gated area to open, this will be a short cut from the bonfire. With some luck, the flames will hit the chest and the mimic will attack the Fire Demon and do some good damage to it before dying! Note that there is an Ember at the back of the hole.
