Been looking for a warframe build that is a heavy hitter primarily for crowd control.
Asked by gmshh , September 10, Seriously though, it's Crowd Control. If that doesn't fit the context, Crit Chance. There isn't really more variations in terms of Warframe. That one is actually called CQC. Close Quarters Combat.

Warframe School. Mag and Volt both have abilities with CC and while they ALSO deal a good amount of damage, two of three choices you can make at the start of the game do suggest that crowd control does have a big impact in the game. Instead you either pick one of the meta support Warframes or you just try to burst everything down as fast as possible. It really feels like crowd control is not the way to go. One could argue that you would enjoy the game more if it became more important and everything would be fine. But that is simply not the case. Here are a few Warframes that heavily rely on crowd control:. And there are way more examples in the game. Zephyr, Equinox, Rhino and Frost are just a few other examples. There is an argument to be made that almost every Warframe has some form of crowd control. So it at least SEEMS like Digital Extreme enjoys putting more and more crowd-control-abilities into the game, while also making them super useless with their design decisions. This question contains two important parts: Why should you not pick a CC Warframe most of the time and why does Digital Extreme keep on pushing crowd control away from the game? Crowd control is simply a bad choice because you are usually not encouraged to use it.

For the Status Effect , see Disrupt. Disruption is an Endless Mission type introduced in Update Similar to Mobile Defense , the squad must fight high-ranking enemies to loot a conduit key and activate a terminal, then defend it from a Demo unit that tries to destroy that terminal. At the start of the mission, there is a single terminal. Hacking this terminal will begin the objective as endless waves of enemies begin to spawn. Four conduits colored red, white, blue, and cyan then appear around the map, requiring keys to activate which are dropped by special enemy units: Amalgams at Ganymede on Jupiter, and heavy often Eximus units everywhere else. Activating the conduit will provide a random effect that either buffs or debuffs the Tenno, or strengthens enemy forces, as well as spawn a Demo a certain distance away from the conduit usually several rooms out. The Demo Demolysts at Ganymede, and Demolishers everywhere else , which is essentially a significantly more durable heavy unit and is indicated by an enemy marker and a periodic beeping noise, will immediately beeline for the active conduit and once it gets close enough it will begin to channel and self-destruct, destroying the conduit. The Demo's enemy marker appears once a Tenno gets within 30 meters of it 15 meters for Arbitration Disruption missions and gradually increases in range to meters for the rest of the squad as long as it is in line of sight.

By Ceadeus , October 12, in General Discussion. I see a lot of people saying "Crowd control matters when the enemies are harder" but I really don't agree with that. The idea that crowd control is needed when enemies are harder is subverted by 2 things; 1. If the enemies are harder, that typically just means you turn to scaling damage instead of raw damage IE: armor stripping , crowd control still doesn't fix anything since the enemy is still alive and well and blocking your progress in most mission types that people regularly play. There really isn't any value in a CC'd enemy except as a window to damage them, which obviously means that it'd be better if you could just do the damage outright in the first place and remove the extra step from the equation. When you factor in that loot and grind is the lifeblood of the larger gameloop, a CC'd enemy becomes even less valuable than his dead counterpart because you get no loot and no experience to help your grind, so even in objective based game modes, it's still better overall to kill than to CC. I really don't think that a "CC king" will ever have any value in Warframe unless they radically revalue the way their game is set up, which honestly Warframe is one of few games primed to do that even if it would be a potentially large undertaking. There's very little value in Warframe for any kind of actual "ninja" like playstyle that doesn't just loop back to extra damage potential.

I have narrowed down my search to 3 possible ones: Nyx, Ember and Vauban. For the latest Warframe reviews, live streams, fan art, community tools and more, check out our Warframe Community Creators! They rather spent their time doing something else and often times playing something else. You can hang them up on the spears, turn the room into a sea of fire and move on, and when you want to use it again if the first tap on the button kicks it off your previous victims are dead and if not they just took another hit and are on fire and you're free to use it again. It means you need to revive your squad mate quickly! Silence will create an aura over x range that stunns enemies that first encounter the aura, and they will be vulnerable to melee finishers. They are designed to give you the chance to disable your enemies and give you the time you need to do stuff. Is Crowd Control really an important part of the game? Vauban: His second, third and fourth ability are designed to control the battlefield, giving you the time you need to do stuff you want to do. New content is more exciting and way more fun than balance changes for old Warframes, weapons and enemies. The more Ninjas you recruit, the higher the reward. Chili Cookoff? Asked by mosaickle , March 30, Status in contrary does NOT give you a chance for multiple status chances.
Recruit Ninjas Use your unique Referral link to increase Tenno forces. This is fun. Instead you either pick one of the meta support Warframes or you just try to burst everything down as fast as possible. Not only will Volts CC ability lockdown a map, but will kill them while doing it and granting overshields to you and your team. I wouldn't even consider a nyx for cc. And they not only concern CC Warframes and their abilities, but also every other Warframe in the game. Chili Cookoff? Play Free Now Log In. Cookie Settings. Clap Clap.
