Disclaimer: I was dealing with some personal issues while reading Chain of Thorns last year, so my reading experience was a lot different compared to other ones. Part of me still thinks Matthew loves James, not Cordelia. Cordelia longs to protect James but is torn between a love for James she has long believed hopeless, and the possibility of a new life with Matthew. Me not loving this book will definitely be the most shocking thing to happen to me in About this item. No one even tried to communicate with each other. There were a few things I didn't love about this book which is why it got 4 stars instead of 5. But you are not vile. He learnt how to accept himself for who he is and to be proud of who he is, not being ashamed for being Persian or because of who he loves. Sword Catcher is her most recent novel. Another thing, Kit's death! I'm truly heartbroken now that The Last Hours is over. But I still had a good time reading this and being back in the world. He deserves better. Anna is seen grieving a little but basically the only things we are shown are the scene where Anna stays with his body but we barely focus on that aspect. We cannot get another one. I'm quite sure the original love triangle was supposed to be between Matthew, Lucie and Jessie. There was no other important enough character to be blackmailed and it should have been revealed so much earlier than it had been.
