BMI plays a vital role in developing and expanding the global initiatives of CISAC the International Confederation of Authors and Composers Societiesa non-governmental, non-profit organization comprising some societies in 98 countries. That allows Cisac member organizations to provide the entire world repertoire to the users of artistic works. For the past several years, CISAC has placed a great deal of emphasis on the new technologies, taking part in most of the major efforts in digital standardization, cisac, defending the interests of its members in inter-professional initiatives, cisac, and, currently, deploying the Common Information System CIS cisac, a world cisac of databases and standards for the identification of works and participants in the creative process. The CISAC provides its advice based upon input from and cooperation with other stakeholders and existing organizations addressing invasive species issues.
