Coc corruption

Corruption is one of the Core Stats of a character in CoC and determines to what degree the characters are under demonic influence. Both the PC and several possibly all NPCs have a corruption level, defined as a number between 0 and where 0 is absolutely pure and is completely demonic. Corruption level affects numerous aspects of the game, some events are only available at certain corruption levels, others have very different outcomes depending on corruption. It is important to realize that pure is not necessary the same as good and corrupted is not necessarily the same as evil. It is perfectly possible for a pure PC to do evil deeds and for a corrupted one to do good deeds. When it comes to NPCs, several highly corrupted characters seem quite unaffected by it while others are actively fighting against their own corruption.
