If you are like me, when someone starts mentioning file formats, acronyms, phrases like the difference between SVG and PNG, cricut png, and other computer-ish jargon, you get glazed over in the eyes.

All of them can be opened in Cricut Design Space and cut with Cricut cutting machine. You will now have to pick a type of file. This choice actually can make a huge difference in your import. If you have any trouble with further steps in this tutorial, go back and start over picking a different option here. On the next screen, you will need to make sure that your image is importing correctly. Make sure that there is a checkered background behind everything that you do not want as part of your image.
