After playing this game a while back and liking it, I decided to try out DMC3. After all of the outrage, I was expecting dmc3 to be markedly better than dmc reboot. In some ways I was right and in some ways I was wrong. Dmc3 and dmc reboot, while they share similarities, are almost completely different in their strengths and weaknesses. Dmc3 I harken to being a Monster Hunter type game with some filler between boss fights, while dmc reboot is more like a regular but good action game where the regular fights are great but the bosses suck. The boss fights in dmc3 are absolutelty stunning. I have played monster hunter and vindictus before, and I feel like dmc3 is most comparable to these games as the type of game where you rely upon invincibility frames on your dodge to survive the boss's attacks.
