The School Curriculum and Standards Authority is responsible for Kindergarten to Year 12 curriculum, assessment, standards and reporting for all Western Australian schools. The revised curriculum for Health and Physical Education HPE P—10 for consent and first aid, and for English P—6 for phonics and word knowledge for teaching in , made available for familiarisation in , is included in the year-level content on the learning area page and in the revised scope and sequence documents. The changes only affect curriculum content for consent, first aid, and phonics and word knowledge. All other aspects of the Health and Physical Education and English curriculum remain unchanged. The Connected Learning hub includes curriculum materials and teaching resources that are relevant to students with disabilities. SSEND provides assistance that is intended to build the capacity of schools to promote inclusive learning environments in Western Australian schools. After receiving a request for assistance, SSEND contacts the requesting school to conduct a needs analysis. SSEND then conducts an internal process to determine the best support. In addition to the assistance above, SSEND also promotes inclusion through online learning resources.
