We are based in Yorkshire and our main aim is to secure the welfare of and care for any dogs that need our help.

We are a Yorkshire based charity that, since , has focused on helping neglected, mistreated and unwanted dogs to find their forever homes. To date, we have successfully rescued and re-homed over dogs in the UK. We have recently re-branded to The Yorkshire Rescue. Our future aspiration is to continue our work rescuing dogs in need and expand to rescue other pets requiring a new home. The Yorkshire Rescue recognises the current financial climate and the impact it will have on pet owners in the coming years.

Lacey came into care is September from a Yorkshire stray pound. Sadly she has seen the seasons changes and many dogs come and go to pastures new. She has literally spent all her life in kennels and is now nearly four years old. Lacey is totally deaf and is gorgeous and very special. Lacey arrived as a skinny youngster suffering from sore skin and sore ears. Due to her deafness she can sometimes struggle to communicate and be reactive with strangers and other dogs. She needs a very special human that has time for guidance, company and training. Most of all this young lady needs lots of love and understanding. She is amazing. Lacey has had a tough life and we desperately need to find her a special home and the opportunity to shine. She has so much to give yet remains overlooked. At Flushdyke Rehome, we have come across many dogs who need our help, but Scotty has stolen our hearts. Scotty is in desperate need of a new home having been over-looked for several months. He is in need of the love and trust of a family who can support his transition into a home. We urge anyone who is interested in adopting a dog to consider giving Scotty a chance. Our aim is to ensure that all unwanted dogs which come into our care should be found loving new homes, where a lifestyle, appropriate to their breed and temperament can be reasonably assured. All prospective adoptive homes will first be homechecked by one of our team, this is to check the suitability of the home and the family environment that the dog will be living in, and if required we may give advice on changes required before we will release a dog into your care. This may be more secure fencing, adding a garden gate, securing electrical cables etc. Part of the purpose of the home check is to check your suitability for any particular dog. We may decide you pass a home check, but the specific dog you have enquired about may not be right for you — please remember we always have the best intentions for both dog and owner and will make suggestions based on our combined experiences to ensure a good match is made. All of our dogs are cared for in foster homes, and whenever possible the foster carers will be involved in the rehoming process. The foster carers will have had the dog living with them for at least 2 weeks, preferably longer, before we even begin looking for a new home, this is in order for us to fully assess the dog so we can give you as accurate a picture as possible about the dog and their personality, if we feel the match is incorrect we wont rehome. Once the right match of dog and adopter is found, we will ask that you complete our adoption agreement form, and of course make a donation to allow us to care for more dogs. Please remember we have cared for the dog for several weeks, we have provided food, water, a loving home.

The Yorkshire Rescue is a registered charity based in Yorkshire Previously known as Moorview Rescue which aims to rescue and re-home animals in desperate need. This includes animals with long term health needs, behavioural issues and also animals who have been abandoned, who may be more difficult to re-home. The Yorkshire Rescue will also help animals who are in need of care and attention due to neglect, maltreatment, sickness, poor circumstances and abandonment. We will also assist in the event of personal circumstances changing within the animals home.
