So we thought it was about time to reawaken our knowledge of DOOM lore and dig into the details of the new footage. Doom Eternal is a first-person shooter game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. The arm blade provides the opportunity for a larger variety of quick and violent "glory kill" executions, which drops extra health. The Super Shotgun is now equipped with the "Meat Hook", a ranged accessory that grabs onto enemies and slingshots the player towards them, functioning as a grappling hook , useful both in combat scenarios and environmental navigation. The Doom Slayer's armor now includes a shoulder-mounted Equipment Launcher with the ability to lob grenades and ice bombs. In addition, there is the Flame Belch, a flamethrower that sets enemies on fire with it to drop armor pickups. Finally, killing enemies with the chainsaw will drop ammunition.

Davoth , also known as the Dark Lord , is the title of the supreme ruler of the realm of Hell. The title appears to refer to any entity which claims dominion over Hell, with the realm's past being divided into "ages" based on the reign of these Lords. Though there were other dark lords, willing to take his place. According to Maykr history, the original Dark Lord was an immortal being once known as Davoth , created by the Father to rule over his first deliberate creation, a realm called Jekkad. Jekkad was a higher plane than the Father's first creation, Urdak , and Davoth was a Primeval , one of the first gods, created to rule over it. However, during the final battle, Davoth reveals that it was he who had created the Father, Urdak, Jekkad, and all living things.
