That said, I feel like on most of my playthroughs, I usually see it happen around times throughout the entire game, so that streak of homesickness you're having is probably just bad luck.

So, the last time I played through EB I was getting pretty deep in the game I am sure it was the Desert Gold Mine and I had killed 4 of the 5 Guardian Diggers and was pretty beat up by that point and low on items. Pretty carely on my part, sure :p. Then as soon as I got in the final battle with the last mole I got homesick and just got rocked so bad by him. I can't remember all of the other times it's happened but that one stuck out as being the most inconvenient at the time! Who else here has neglected to call your Mom and ended up paying for it? Anyone here have a habit for making calls to ensure you don't get homesick?

The Chick is difficult, though, because it will soon become a Chicken, which is only good for a little cash when sold - just call your mother.
