Located in downtown Schenectady, this contemporary 18, square foot facility, housed in an existing building at the Belanger Campus on Erie Boulevard, provides a flexible and collaborative environment for both students and faculty. Ellis Hospital School of Nursing provides a dynamic environment wherein students acquire the knowledge, attitude, and skills that enable them to be an essential component of the healthcare delivery team. With six classrooms that accommodate a variety of assembly sizes for lectures, computerized classes, and interactive mock labs, this facility provides a learning environment seating 10 to 96 students in a given classroom. The interactive mock lab is equipped with patient beds, service delivery headwall systems, and lighting similar to those found at most hospitals enabling students to get pragmatic hands on training. The composition of both the student and faculty spaces enables a learning environment which is dynamic, enlivening, and interactive. Complementing this project at the Belanger campus is the adjacent fit-up project of over 16, sf of Ellis Medicine office space for Public Relations, Finance, and Accounting including offices, conference rooms, lounges and support space.
