Home » Changes to After Hours. As valued clients, we need to inform you of the changes that are being made to our afterhour service. Over the last 3 years, a number of local veterinary practices have made the decision not to offer their clients an afterhour service. This has resulted in a substantial increase in demand for our vets after close of business. As many of you may have seen in recent ABC and Win News, there is a national veterinary shortage of which we are not immune to. Staff at our veterinary clinics are working hard to service clients, however this increase in demand placed on us by other clinics and the shortage of vets is leading to increased pressure, both physically and emotionally. As a result of these pressures on our staff, we have had to make some changes to the way we do things and especially with our afterhour service. These decisions have been made in the best interest of our vets, the clinic while still providing an afterhour service to our clients. Our veterinary clinics will continue to provide an afterhour service to clients registered to the Eureka and Ballarat Veterinary Practice between the hours of 6pm - midnight on weekdays and 8am - midnight on weekends. After midnight, we have made arrangements with an emergency clinic in Melbourne Advanced Vetcare 03 that can take calls and help if you have an emergency with your pet. We hope you understand these changes are necessary so we can continue to provide you and your pets the compassionate personalised veterinary care you are used to now and into the future.
