One of the story's most iconic hero duos is the team of Eraserhead and Present Mic. Based on EraserMic's continued activity, these heroes don't plan on retiring anytime soon -- but their successors may have already been silently chosen. Formerly a student of UA's General Studies course, Shinso's Brainwashing Quirk and earnest desire to become a hero impressed Eraserhead enough to take him on as a private student. And following Shinso's impressive showing during Hero Classes 1-A and 1-B's Joint Training exercise, he might be transferring to the hero course in his next term. Even though Eraserhead and Shinso's Quirks are very different, they have similar destabilizing effects on their opponents' strategy. Eraserhead's ability to nullify his opponents' Quirks renders most plans involving Quirks useless, while the fear of falling victim to Shinso's Brainwashing destabilizes the communication chain between his rivals. Their most glaring similarity is their weapon of choice: a binding cloth they use both to aid their mobility and to capture villains. Thanks to Eraserhead's tutelage, Shinso is quickly mastering his mentor's original weapon. The "Mic" half of the second EraserMic duo is a lot more subtle, but their identity becomes apparent when Present Mic's character is analyzed.
