It's difficult—like everybody, we got through COVID, we got through all that stuff, but it was a lot, and we're going to look for other opportunities. For Carter, she said she was looking at other opportunities outside of running a restaurant, while Johnstone has taken on ownership of the Fanny Bay Inn on Vancouver Island. Carter said that it was a big decision to step away from a business that was a part of the community. This is something that's so cool, there's so many people that come in the door and say they used to work [at The Nest] at one point or another. Now we're getting the children of the people that were coming in when I was here in , and now those kids are my customers.
