In-Game Description. Returning from Dark Souls II , the Faraam Set is a rather weighty set but still light for a heavy armor set , and as such it provides good all-round defenses to back up the cost. The set boasts solid all-round physical defenses , lacking the traditional weakness to Strike damage that most plate metal sets possess, though it is slightly vulnerable to Thrust damage. Its elemental defenses are mediocre, but here it also lacks a weakness to Lightning damage, and is quite resistant against Fire damage. Its resistance to status effects is very good across the board, save against Curse , and its good Frost resistance is also an advantage it possesses over other sets. It has a good poise -to-weight ratio that allows it to wield large weapons effectively, though it may have trouble when attempting to trade against other ultra weapons. Dark Souls Wiki Explore.
