Final Fantasy 15 is divided up into many chapters, each of which span large areas to explore, and both main and side quests to undertake. Chapter 1 begins the tale of Prince Noctis ' journey to his wedding with Lady Lunafreya - although certain complications will leave him stuck the region of Leide. After a startling turn of events, Chapter 2 resumes with Noctis making new plans in Leide, and dealing with the rising threat of Imperials. With Chapter 3 comes the new land of Duscae to explore, and the added danger and grand scope that comes with it. In Chapter 4, you'll make your way to the center of Duscae, to the home of the mysterious meteor known as Cauthess Disc - and uncover the mysteries within. In Chapter 5, the imperials of Niflheim haven taken notice to your exploits, and try to trap you in Duscae while Noctis goes on the hunt for the blessings of the Gods. In Chapter 6, Noctis and the crew will make for Cape Caem to find a way across the waters to Altissia, but a certain empire stronghold will need to be dealt with first. In Chapter 7, Noctis ' band will be down to three as the group seeks to find Mythril Ore at the Vesperpool so that their boat can be repaired.

Ignis and Ravus find Noctis unconscious and Lunafreya dying. Prompto rides until he is clear of imperial pursuit and camps out by a thawed lake. Ardyn was horrified when Besithia asked him to daemonify the deity, alluring him with Ifrit's memories. Noctis defeats her with the help of Titan and passes out. They meet the corrupted spirits of three kings of yore, and battle through their trials on their way to the throne room.
