The Goonies is a good example of a film that most people enjoy if they saw it when it came out, but people who saw it as adults do not. That realization makes revisiting movies from your childhood kind of scary.

Film studios are currently wringing out all their can from their old 80s and 90s movies, with legacy sequels, reboots, TV shows and super-expensive toy lines rolling out based on some of the biggest 30 to 40 year old franchises they have available. However, there are also some smaller movies that certain people would love to jump on the bandwagon while it is still rolling, and two of those would be Little Monsters stars Fred Savage and Howie Mandel who it seems are both interested in revisiting the cult classic that was originally released in Like many movies of its type, Little Monsters combined comedy with monstrous creatures and seemed to steal many of its ideas from other earlier movies. The film was a bomb at the box office and only managed a middling response from both audiences and critics. However, since then the movie has joined many 80s genre movies as a cult classic and for that reason alone it would be hard to completely rule out its return if the right people were to take an interest. Brian Stevenson, an year-old boy, and his family has just moved to suburban Boston , and he feels isolated in his new neighborhood. One morning, Brian finds himself blamed and wrongfully punished for several things he did not do. Insisting on his innocence, he blames his 6-year-old younger brother, Eric, who claims to have seen a monster the night before. At school, Brian gets into a fight with bully Ronnie Coleman. That night, upon returning to Eric's room to sleep for a bet, Brian finds the room in shambles, and sees the TV remote supernaturally slide and disappear under the bed. The next morning, Eric and his friend Todd find Brian on the living room couch and joke about Brian being unable to sleep the entire night in Eric's room. Brian bets Eric "double or nothing" to sleep in Eric's room another night. The next night, a determined Brian sets booby traps, and leaves cheese Doritos as bait to attract the alleged "monster. Brian succeeds in trapping the monster intruder: a blue-skinned humanoid named Maurice. Though initially scared, Brian soon discovers that he and Maurice share the same interests and befriends him.
