Does Costco keep your propane tank if it is passed its date? Just wondering if anyone knew if Costco will keep your 20lb propane tank if the date has passed. I always see they have a big cage filled with tanks near the propane filling area and wondered if they take your old tanks, I mean, why would that cage be filled with takes otherwise I'm guessing. I have a few tanks and the date is not clear on them, its a jumble of numbers and I cannot accurately determine the date. I don't want to haul them to Costco from several hours drive from the cottage to fill, only to find they are expired and have to haul them back up again. Do they take the tanks as part of their service? Just curious if anyone knew. Thanks in advance.
