Police say they received numerous calls about the crash near the corner of Highway 5 and Provincial Road around p. An investigation still in its early stages has found five teens were in a car heading north on PR that drove through a stop sign and hit the trailer portion of a semi heading east on Highway 5, RCMP spokesperson Tara Seel said Thursday. Two year-old male passengers and the year-old male driver, all from the Dauphin area, died at the scene, Seel said. A year-old girl from the Rural Municipality of Dauphin was also rushed to hospital with serious injuries, where Seel said she remains Thursday. Their car failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the trailer portion of a semi-trailer. James Manchur, reeve of Gilbert Plains, said the fatal crash will have an impact in the community and the tightly-knit surrounding area. And I think the whole community felt the same this morning. Manchur notes many of the first-responders who arrived at the scene Wednesday night are volunteers.
