If you are camping, a tarp makes a great makeshift shelter from unexpected heavy rain or excessive sun, plus it can provide a space between you and the ground when you set up a tent or swag. Tip: polythene is folded at the factory and then rolled. In most cases, if you buy rolls that unfold to two metres rather than four metres the installation process will be easier. If you buy four metre wide rolls it may be easier to cut the polythene strips in half to make it more manageable under the house.
