First released on 16 October for the PlayStation 2 , San Andreas has an in-game radio that can tune in to eleven stations playing more than tracks of licensed music, as well as a talk radio station. The songs featured on the radio stations originated in or before the early s, the period in which the game is set. The game's music has been released on two official soundtracks: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Official Soundtrack , released in November , consists of selections from the in-game radio; and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Official Soundtrack Box Set , released in December , consists of eight volumes comprising highlights from the game's radio stations. Critical reception to the soundtracks was positive, as reviewers felt that the selected tracks connected appropriately with the gameplay and period. It was released as a three-disc album on November 23, , by Interscope Records. The first two discs featured the songs, while the third disc is a DVD featuring The Introduction , a short machinima video depicting events before the game.

Radio Los Santos puts out some pretty awesome beats. This one was ideal for playing in a fast set of wheels cruising the highway of Los Santos. Probably not the most memorable but definitely a great track. A notable song, fun for a brief moment, although maybe not something that would stick with you long-term. The lovely station K-DST gives us this song, boasting an electric guitar from the start of the song and gradually introducing an acoustic in its place.

So be sure to listen to the WCTR news after completing every 2 or 3 missions. Many controversial radio and TV personalities have also brought their talent to the table, such as Lazlow and Wil Wheaton. In order to bring as much flavour as possible to the table, Rockstar Games have partnered up with Interscope Records , a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. This joint collaboration will also be yielding a San Andreas soundtrack, expected to hit shelves November 23rd. The double CD versionwill feature "a mix of select tracks from San Andreas' many in-game radio stations," if that doesn't suit your fancy, a massive boxset of 8 CDs will also be available.
