If you don't intend to level your crafting to make Ascended gear, gw2 dragonite ingot, you might as well destroy any overflow. If the Dragonite Ore Eater just destroys the dragonite, why not just throw it away and forget about the Eater?

You should be able to break down any of the high level crafting material back to component parts when needed! Needs a recycle option at the crating stations even if its a lvl skill or sell something like the Salvage-o-Matics to break them back down for a cost.
