I read somewhere that it will be available for 3 weeks, from the day it was added. I'm not sure where I saw that but the Wiki says it will be available until the 20th September. Bear in mind the new player will need to own PoF to be able to claim it. Free, Heroic and EoD-only versions don't get it. I was never sure of this. I thought you could always buy skins and unlock them for your account, just not use them obviously cause you wouldn't have any mounts without PoF. But what you're saying is that without PoF you can't even get skins for your account. It's confusing. Some things, like Living World episodes, can be unlocked by anyone even if they can't use them. Other things are locked until you can use them and most gemstore cosmetics work that way.

Don't look at it as if you have to buy the whole collection, it only saves a few dollars, just gw2 free mount off with buying Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire, the first two expansions, that will give you a lvl 80 boost and full access to everything except the living world seasons and end of dragons, gw2 free mount, and those can be bought at a later time if you continue to enjoy the game.

Another mount, the Warclaw , was also introduced in WvW , with abilities tied to the World Experience system. Finally, End of Dragons introduced the Siege Turtle , with its own mastery track. Must be noted that Raptor and Springer mounts can be obtained in End of Dragons as well, but their mastery tracks can't be trained without Path of Fire. Each mount has its own unique set of abilities and characteristics; they also possess one offensive skill that, when used, dismounts the player.
