The daughter of a single mom, Gwen was a latch-key kid who grew up taking care of her kid brother. That's cool with Gwen, because she likes helping out her Mom, and has tons of fun with her brother, too. Like the time they put a bunch of beef bouillon cubes into the Community Pool. The only other thing that Gwen is passionate about is her art. She can lose herself in her sketch pad for hours and her favorite hobby is going downtown on the weekends and people watch. She's been told she's talented and hopes to make a career out of it one day.

When she was tethered to Geoff in Trial by Tri-Armed Triathlon , she wound up revealing that she was never invited to a party, and sometimes wishes that she could be a party girl something that Geoff sensed and wished to help her with. Gwen seems to give off the impression that she wants to join the crowd, but she is too cautious about who to let in and she could never fit right in, so she became a lone wolf who spends most of her time in solitude.

As a teenager, her outfit consists of a black corset with turquoise sleeves at the top and dark green at the bottom and it reaches her elbow. She wore a black choker collar on her neck, a black skirt with turqoise squares at both sides, grey tights and black boots that reach her knees.

Gwen wants to see what design DJ is making for her. She tries to make one with Scott, but he rejects her due to his talk with "Mike" earlier. Gwen heavily objects to this since she hates modeling and is even more frustrated that DJ is trying to lose the challenge. Gwen gets crazy, by singing her solo in the song. After a while, Trent finally remembers her and digs her out of the casket. In spite of this, she borrows a red ant farm from Harold which she later uses to dump on Heather.
