Where did you grow up? Can you talk us through your journey into this industry? I attended high school in Melbourne, taking psychology, maths methods, studio art photography, Japanese, English literature and physics for VCE. Unsure about what I wanted to do at university, I chose subjects I enjoyed. During this time, I worked casually at a bookstore, gaining valuable customer service skills and knowledge.

Hayley moved to Cornwall in the summer of with her family after many years of holidays in this beautiful county. Finally deciding to take a crazy leap of faith, she gave herself, husband and mum who came along for the journey , only 8 weeks to find work for them all, a home, a school and nursery — they did it in just 6! Hayley joined the Cornwall Innovation Centres as the Business Development Manager in September , bringing with her a wealth of experience from the hospitality industry mainly from hotels and serviced apartments and a real focus and passion for delivering excellence for customers, engaging in networking events and building relationships and business growth. Outside of her working life, Hayley is a devoted mum to her 2 young children. This involves cheering on at the courtside during Tennis lessons for the next Andy Murray and being a Lego building master! She loves after school trips to the beach, eating great food and partaking in a wine club that sadly involves trying lots of wine with her husband! Early diagnosis is essential to getting the right treatment to people with cancer. They're trying to diagnose and monitor lung cancer in a less invasive way. Our scientists can then study the different types of cancerous cells to find out more about them. It's a safe space open to everyone to discuss any aspect of the disease with others in the cancer community. I've been running or should I say walking : for Cancer Research for quite a few years now and enjoy the feeling of supporting such a great cause. I take part every year as I have lost too many family and friends to this awful disease as well as having people that are close to me going through the harsh treatments to survive.

I am a recipient of the James Madison Fellowship which funded my graduate work focusing on constitutional studies.
