Over the past three years, Michael has led HEABC in the preparation and execution of a bargaining strategy to renew the health sector collective agreements and the BC Physician Master Agreement, focusing on collaboration and a shared commitment to improving both the working environment for health care professionals and the health care services that BC residence rely on. Her portfolio also includes providing leadership for strategic, long-term planning to address growing service demands, cost pressures and partnership opportunities that will contribute to HEABC's future success. In her role, Audra provides leadership, direction and management to Recruitment Solutions and its programs, including the development of strategic and innovative policies and programs to support provincial recruitment and retention practices, in addition to identifying and pursing opportunities to promote the activities of HEABC at the local, regional, national and international level. Audra joined HEABC with over 10 years of experience in executive search, specializing in the recruitment and mobilization of healthcare professionals. Her proven track record for developing business and marketing strategies, delivering results and building relationships are a great fit for HEABC. He has a strong knowledge of labour and employment law and litigation processes, and has successfully led all aspects of collective bargaining in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Tim worked for over 20 years with the Alberta government, also working in progressively senior and executive roles specializing in labour relations and workplace policy and legislation.

The Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum PVPC was developed in to fill a need for effective, recommended, and provincially recognized violence prevention VP education for all British Columbia health care workers across a range of public health care settings. The PVPC was refined and updated in to align with trauma informed practice, dementia care, and paediatric care principles. Health care employers have made a provincial commitment to ensure the health and safety of all workers against violence in the workplace. There are four main principles in the Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum. The following principles apply to both employers and workers:. Violence prevention programs require the commitment of all levels of the organization to be successful e. Both employers and workers need to apply the principles in order to help build and sustain a safe work culture. Respectful verbal, non-verbal and vocal communication helps build relationships and rapport, which can protect against violence. By being aware of the risk for violence, always assessing the risk, and communicating the risk to co-workers, we can work toward preventing escalation from occurring as much as possible.
